Connecticut Homeschooling Laws

Reporting: Parents can file a notice of intent within 10 days of beginning to teach. A portfolio showing completed work is required to be kept.

Compulsory Attendance: Between 5 and 18, but parents can file a waiver for 5 or 6-year-olds at their school district. 180 days per year

Required Subjects: Math, English, spelling, grammar, writing, reading, geography, US history and citizenship, government — local, state and national.
